FitEdit Support
FitEdit helps you repair incomplete, missing, or over-recorded workouts and save the result to Apple Health after you review it.
Getting Started
- Open FitEdit and allow the requested Apple Health read and write access.
- Choose the repair mode that matches what happened.
- Enter or adjust the workout details and, when available, the route.
- Review every value carefully, then confirm the save to Apple Health.
FitEdit creates estimated workout data. It is not a medical device, and its estimates should not be used for medical decisions.
Which Repair Mode Should I Use?
Recording stopped early
Use this when your Apple Watch ran out of power or stopped recording before your workout ended. FitEdit creates an additional workout for the missing portion. The original workout remains unchanged, so the Fitness app may show two workouts.
Workout was never recorded
Use this when you completed a workout without starting a recording. FitEdit creates a new workout from the details you provide and the estimates you approve.
Recording continued too long
Use this when you forgot to stop a workout and the recorded duration, distance, or route includes extra activity. FitEdit creates a corrected copy. It cannot delete a workout recorded by Apple Watch or another app, so review the corrected result and manually delete the original in the Fitness app if appropriate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t FitEdit find one of my workouts?
Make sure FitEdit has permission to read workouts and the related health data. You can review access in the Health app under your profile and Apps, or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. A workout may also be unavailable if it is still syncing from Apple Watch or iCloud.
Why did a save fail?
Common causes include missing Health write permission, an invalid time range, overlapping or duplicate workout data, or a temporary HealthKit error. Check FitEdit’s Health permissions, review the workout details, and try again. A repair credit is not deducted when the HealthKit save fails.
Why is no route available?
Some workouts have no recorded route. A generated route also requires a valid start and end area and access to Apple’s MapKit directions service. Route coverage varies by activity and location.
Are repaired values exact?
No. FitEdit estimates missing values from the information you enter and, when available, relevant workout history and health data. Conditions such as terrain, weather, fatigue, sensor accuracy, and pauses can make the real workout different. Always review the result before saving.
How do repair credits work?
You receive one free save per calendar month. After that, each successful save uses one purchased Single Repair Credit. The monthly free credit is used first. Purchased credits do not expire at the end of the month.
FitEdit checks your balance only when you confirm the save. A credit is finalized only after Apple Health reports that the save succeeded.
Can I get a credit back after deleting a repair?
Yes, if you delete the FitEdit-created workout from FitEdit within five minutes of saving it. FitEdit returns the same kind of credit used for that save. After five minutes, the credit is not returned.
Can I restore purchased repair credits?
Single Repair Credit is a consumable in-app purchase, so Apple does not provide a normal restore mechanism for it after it has been consumed. FitEdit’s remaining credit balance is stored on your device and may not survive deleting the app, replacing the device, or moving to another device. Please use purchased credits on the device where you bought them.
How do I delete a workout created by FitEdit?
Open FitEdit’s repair history and choose the delete action for that repair. FitEdit will attempt to remove the workout and related samples it created. Apple may retain some Activity or Exercise Minutes data; if that happens, follow the cleanup guidance shown in the app or manage the data in the Health app.
Purchases and Billing
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. FitEdit does not receive your full payment-card details. For billing problems, duplicate charges, or refund requests, use Apple’s Report a Problem service.
